1. Limits and strengths of economic family classes

In our textbook, we are introduced to the limits and strengths of four separate family classes on an economic level, upper-class, middle-class, working-class, and lower-class families.

    1. There is such a vast difference between the upper and lower classes. Upper-class families have an abundance of wealth providing them with unlimited opportunities for higher education, security, and sustainability.
    2. The father of the home typically works where the mother is home tending to the needs of the family.
    3. In contrast, on the other end of the spectrum, lower-class families have limited financial support from the father of the home, they live in poor conditions and likely in areas where there are high crime rates and education isn’t a priority for children (Cherlin, 2021).
    4. The other two classes, middle and working, are similar in their economic status. The bare essential financial and educational needs are met, children are likely to continue their education on a community college level and the women are more likely to hold professional employment above the father of the family.

COURTSHIP

VERSUS

DATING

A Change of Bliss

A meeting of bliss, with hearts aflame, we begin,

A dance of charm, are manners pure within,

Tradition guides each move we make,

Formalities abide in courtship's sweetened embrace.

But in the modern realm of dating's view,

Less strict, more impulsive, loving anew,

With freedom's power, our elections wild and spontaneous,

We are steered by love's immeasurable compass.

In courtship's delight, structured ritual of old,

A blossom of love, turning a heart, now enflame,

In true light, connection becomes defined,

Dating ablaze, arose a place for hearts to bind.

The pleasures of life brought reasons to change,

With families’ blessings, and love stories retold,

A passageway where commitment takes its place,

In honor's glory, hearts interlace with grace.

Reflection on path of change, ever clear,

Whether be courtship's grace or dating's frontier,

Each has its values, in time and place it declares,

Though a heart shall grow, in the unbound love it shares.
